Climate

West Coast Fossil Park
Visit the West Coast Fossil Park close to Langebaan, Western Cape, South Africa. See the fossils of bears, sabre-tooth cats, short-necked giraffes and the many other exotic animals which inhabited the west coast area some 5 million years ago.
Paternoster crayfish factory
Harvested in the cold Atlantic Ocean, along the West Coast of Southern Africa, the natural habitat of the West Coast Rock Lobster is amongst the shore line kelp beds (seaweed).
Saldanha Mussel Farm

Saldanha Oyster farm
Since the early 1950’s, Saldanha Bay has been recognized as a prime location for oyster culture. Its waters are rich in plankton brought in from the cold Benguela current on the unpolluted tides, making it a prime growing ground for the renowned Pacific oyster seeds which we nurture here with love and pride.
